People continue to search for HOPE in the midst of problems. Our calling is to write, teach and preach to offer encouragement.
HOPE is our assurance that God will finish what (all) He has begun in us.

Desert View
Ahhhhh, Desert View is back.
Ah yes. Today the Desert View is of snow covered hills above our home. As soon as the sun comes out, those white hills will melt away, and show their true colors of tan and brown, with hints of greeen. The snow made for a nice Christmas, though.
And now, we welcome 2017! Yay! Time to think about what the future holds and this years resolutions, and our hopes for the future.
When resolutions are all written down, we might ponder them for a few days, but by month end, it is likely they will be forgotten. That's life. But, my major resolution is to just live my life, enjoy my family, enjoy my church and read and review a new book this week.
My favorite Bible verse has always been "Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart. (Psalm 37:4 NIV)
Today, I've posted a new verse for 2017. It's my favorite, too. Hope you like it. "Remember that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize. You also must run in such a way that you will win."(1 Corinthians 9:24 NLT).
Within two generations, you and I will be forgotten. Children don't ask about their history any more. Grand-children prefer games on their smart phones,or riding the bike to the park. Sometimes we wonder if anything we do in this life will matter in the future.
Now, I don't have an answer for that, but I'm still running this race of life, knowing that at the end there will be a prize. Actually, there are two things those in the race run for (1) the joy of the race, and (2) knowing a prize awaits.
Hope you are having a beautiful day. Blessings to you and your family.

Let my teaching drop as the rain, my speech distill as the dew, as raindrops on the tender herb, and as showers on the grass. For I proclaim the name of the Lord: Ascribe greatness to our God. (Deuteronomy 32:2-3 NKJV)
“Commit your way to the LORD, Trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.”
Psalm 37:5 (NKJV)
